Feanor, the Spirit of Fire

Fëanor, from Tolkien's Silmarillion.

He was the eldest and most beloved son of Finwë, the high king of all Noldor. His father-name was Curufinwë (Skillful Finwë) while his mother Miriel gave him the name with which he’s best known, Fëanáro (Fëanor is the Sindarin version), that literally means "Spirit of Fire".

The Silmarillion says that “Fëanor was made the mightiest in all parts of body and mind: in valour, in endurance, in beauty, in understanding, in skill, in strength and subtlety alike, of all the Children of Ilúvatar, and a bright flame was in him”. He was "the mightiest of the Noldor, of whose deeds came both their greatest renown and their most grievous woe". He created the Silmarils, the gems that give the book its title.

I wanted to draw he and his seven sons in manga style, with this I reached my goal. Until now I had never been able to draw him in a way I liked, hope you’ll like this version. I imagined him thinking of his deeds and of what's lost.
